See Manila before and after the devastation of World War II.

See Manila before and after the devastation of World War II. The Americans shelled our beautiful buildings. The Japanese committed atrocities. Then after the war, they both became firm partners against "communist" China and left Philippines in the lurch.

some rare footages of Manila during the World War II the Filipinos should know the real reason why the hell Japanese forces invaded the Philippines

just to put that video in historical perspective, check out US invasion of the Philippines, circa Filipino-American War (1899-1914)

avoid foul words, ferdinand. we are filipinos so we should be respectful to the elderly.

anyway, did the US ever apologize for the genocide they committed when they invaded us at the turn of the last century?

i'm not saying japan is clean. i'...m of the position that japan should admit to the rape of filipinas during world war II and do reparations. BUT, let's not single out japan.

katukin both the US and Japan for their imperialism.

lahat tayo alam natin ang terrible experience during world war ii. my parents while lucky enough na walang napatay noon, takot sa hapon noon.

pag lumabas ka sa pilipinas, alberto, mas maraming napatay ang Us imperialism, that continues up to... now. vietnam war and iraq war eh, di pa kasama sa atin.

anyway, point ko lang let's put things in historical perspective. wag kalimutan ang fil. am war.

mabait naman si m s. yuko, ferdinand. let us not wish death on anyone eh if ever salita lang naman siya. she's just being a patriot of japan.

ang dapat lang na i.wish ng death yung mamamatay tao din. hindi naman siya ganun. nakakatulong pa n...ga yan eh.

peace lang tayo sa lahat dito sa fb, ferdinand. :)

  5. Jesusa Bernardo alberto, the casualties during the fil.am war, civilians included, and indirect deaths from reconcentration and famine are estimated to be way beyond 200K. varied estimates but safe to say, or median, a million.

  6. Jesusa Bernardo yes, ben, the US presence served as magnet to japanese invasion.

except tha you're assumption re Phili electoral results is wrong, ms. yuko. you very well know that after martial law, the only truly elected president--or at least walang bahid ng pandaraya/hocus-pcos--is erap, deposed pa.

thus, calling filipinos in general as stupid is uncalled for. calling the gullibles who went to the edsa 2 power grab, yon siguro mga stupid.

  8. Jesusa Bernardo still, the yellows cheated. so it's not really stupidity but more of forced stupidity or something.

and it's not only the 2010 polls we refer to but the period from 1986 or later.

i protest in my own way about that cheating and i'm definitely NOT stupid.

when the enemy is mighty and one loses, that's not stupidity. japan lost to the US during wwII and that ain't stupidity.

the masses tried to protest the edsa 2 power ...grab and they were quashed, some died as you're aware of. is that stupidtiy???

and in case you are confused, ms. yuko, the "assumption" i refer to is your original statement re filipinos " VOTING for the same bunch of crooks...." (bold mine)

it was only later that you amended your statement to refer to the people allo...wing fraud in the elections.

  11. Jesusa Bernardo more of hirap din sa buhay, ms. yuko. so hungry or worried where to get the next meal or allowance for the kids. so no more time or energy for principles.

  12. Jesusa Bernardo your analogy does not hold, ms. yuko. it's INACTION what the majority has done with regards the cheating.

different from DOING a crime. how can a WEAK, malnourished whatever person fight?

  13. Jesusa Bernardo marami na talagang wlhyang pinoy, the yellows who reigned and arguably the predecessor. whateve, reign of impunty na ngayon in our forsaken land.

re women nabubuntis, again, it takes two to tango. at least ngayon, filipinas don't get to kill themselves pag niloko sila ng wlhyang lalaki.

anyway, while our leaders now are so immoral, esp. relative to those in the days of old, that might be the principal cause why pinoys tolerate cheating. for one thing, follow the leader or bad influence sort of thing.

second, sa sobrang plunderers, so gutom na the people such that they're too weak to even dream principles, much less to fight the wicked ones.
