Tourist Bus Hostage Crisis and Culture of Impunity

Jesusa Bernardo via Emmanuel S. Esber: ‎"The Office of the Ombudsman disallowed Mendoza's request to be reinstated in the police, although they assured him that his case would be reviewed. Manila Vice-Mayor Isko Moreno delivered the letter from the Ombudsman to the hostage scene... after sundown. However, Mendoza regarded the Ombudsman's decision as "garbage", stating the text did not answer his demands. Mayor Lim said on local radio that authorities had agreed to reinstate Mendoza to bring an end to the crisis, but had not been able to deliver the message due to bad traffic."

  • Jesusa Bernardo  collapse of morality brought about the culture of impunity that began with the edsa 2 power grab, sending signals to the people--blessed pa by the SINful Cardinal--that it is ok to depose unconstitutionally, kill the EDSA 3 militants who only wished to rectify Edsa 2, sustain the obviously corrupt administration (by the elite yellows), trash the people's electoral voice via Hello Garci, sustain the murderous Ampatuans, falsify surveys and for the 2nd time (if not 3rd), trample upon the people's will again via HOCUS PCOS.

    i've seen this for years.

Jesusa Bernardo but well sad your call, ted, re same issue.

yes, internal revolution. internal as in within each individual and within the country. hmmm.

Jesusa Bernardo  your french is excused, ted.
re the students who had photos of them taken, i don't know but they're young people and isn't it our trait to laugh, smile at problems? that's what has kept our race surviving despite the yellows ans continuing hold of the bald eagle.

for all we know, those students said a prayer or two for the bus hostage victims. we really have to understand our culture even amidst external pressures to condemn those young compatriots of us.

Jesusa Bernardo  as for your missing gloria, rudan, there was this status i read that says something like:
"kung si Gloria kaya ang hinostage ni Mendoza matuwa kaya ang taumbayan?"
needless to say, my answer's in the affirmative. i do not miss political wills so wickedly strong resulting  to Ampatuan massacre and all.

  2. you have a point, Richard.

may sense din si Jacky Chan re the issue, saying in his twitter account:

“This kind of things always happen around the world. ..If they killed the guy sooner, they will say why not negotiate first? If they negotiate first, they ask why not kill the guy sooner? So sad... Humans should be united and not kill or hate each other..”
