my thesis re this issue is that patriarchy hijacked the mosaic religions.
why hate women? as i've written before, men's patriarchal insecurity, when they can never be so sure that the child in a woman's womb is truly theirs. solution? control to the point of oppressing women.
in the ancient days, such was also part of the Old Testament but the New Testament changed that. Christians will perhaps say God sent Christ to change all that.

I don't think thats what Allah wants. Since you are Filipino why don't you take a look into your own country. Muslims in the Philippines, Indonesia and Malaysia do not practice stoning. Also... There is nothing in the Holy Koran that says stoning someone to death is a legitimate form of punishment. Its likely that this is more a tribal or social custom that has been carried on into the modern era.

ReplyDeleteJesusa Bernardo: hard to do that given such a tightly controlled society. what you can do there is try to get hold of a gun and either shoot yourself or shoot at wicked, stoning men or soldiers and let them ultimately kill you with guns, while inflicting damage to the enemy and possibly help put some sense into such a distorted, misogynist, if not wicked, society.
