REYES at the LIBINGAN ng mga BAYANI--BAD Precedent

LIBINGAN ng mga BAYANI o LNMB.

Located at Fort Bonifacio, the LNMB is a shrine established to pay tribute to the GALLANT Filipinos who brought HONOR to the country and who died for the sake of FREEDOM and DEMOCRACY. - http://server.pvao.mil.ph/libingan.html

Bakit? It sends the message that SUICIDE is a way for a general to instantaneously absolve himself from the crimes of plunder and mutiny, thus ensuring his place in the LNMB no matter his crimes to the people.

Note that: "The remains of military personnel who were dishonorably separated, reverted, or discharged from the service are NOT authorized to be interred in the LNMB, including those who were convicted for an offense involving moral turpitude." (bold supplied)

As of October 2003, there were nearly 44 thousang remains interred at the LNMB. Those authorized to be interred at the LNMB include those of: National Scientists and National Artists; Medal of Valor Awardees (Burial Section 1A); VIP and Dignitaries; Philippine presidents, secretaries of national defense and chiefs of staff, along with cremated remains of their widows; Katipuneros, generals of the Filipino-American Revolution, PNP generals, and a number of retired generals of the AFP; active and retired personnel of the AFP and other veterans. As earlier said, military officers with DISHONORABLE records are NOT entitled to interment at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

  1. "In Burial Section D are interred 122 generals and flag officers representing the different major branches and units of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. The remains of Katipuneros, generals of the Filipino-American Revolution, PNP gene...rals, and a number of retired generals of the AFP are also interred in this section of the LNMB. There are five other burial sections at the LNMB which is reserved for the remains of active and retired personnel of the AFP and other veterans. Their graves are only marked by marble and concrete white crosses which do not bear their names. The office of the Grave Service Unit at the LNMB maintains a listing of personnel interred in these burial sites and can provide the actual location of their gravesites. The remains of military personnel who were dishonorably separated, reverted, or discharged from the service are not authorized to be interred in the LNMB, including those who were convicted for an offense involving moral turpitude."

  3. may punto ka, ka ming. by setting an example of what the guilty should do (if he's guilty which is apparently the case), hero na nga rin siya. para sumunod na sina dorobo.

LOL.

  4. hi hill. i've talked with ka ming and from what i understand, the hope he is referring to refers to us as a people, not this administration.

right about some filipinos excusing the crime of the dead just because patay na. pero nakakapagtaka..., kay marcos hindi nila ginawa yon, ano? lol.

    dilaw nga naman. inconsistent.

  5. ‎"The third president who was slated to be interred was Ferdinand E. Marcos, however, due to strong opposition coming from some government, military, and private sectors, this was not carried out. A burial place has already been prepared fo...r Marcos and a photo of the site is shown below between the photos of the gravesites of Gen. Enrile and Commodore Lim. "
