Erap to the Rescue (Pansamantalang Nabara ang Moro-Moro)

Biruin ninyo--18 buwan na nakaupo si Abs ay hindi nagsampa agad ng kaso kahit ang daming ebidensya. In other words, DELIBERATE, ORCHESTRATED DELAY, if not REFUSAL to file a case, apparently to allow Gloria to fly out of the country and escape from the clutches of the law. on technical grounds.

Noong isang araw kasi ay nagpainterview si Pangulong Joseph Erap Estrada sa media at sinabi nito na kung may teknikalidad o di tamang desisyon ay dapat sumunod at pailalim na lamang si Gloria. Ipinaliwanag niya na kung siya nga naging biktima ng isang pasya ng Korte Suprema na kakatwa o hindi tama--ang "constructive resignation" ruling na ipinilit dahil they couldn't satisfy the conditions set by the Constitution on removing a president noong EDSA 2 power grab. Hanggang ngayon daw ay hindi maipali-paliwanag ang constructive resignation na totoo naman dahil wala pa hong ganyang legal concept sa buong kasaysayan ng buong mundo. 

Sa pagsasampa ni COMELEC Chairman Brillantes ng kaso ng electoral sabotage laban kay Gloria ay nagawa na rin ang dapat naisakatuparan at ipinangako ni Abs subali't hindi tinutupad. Eh bakit nga ba sa loob ng 1 1/2 pagkakaluklok kay Abs ay hindi ito nagsampa ng kaso kahit hitik sa ingay laban kay Gloria? “The more important issue is that the Aquino regime has wasted its almost 500 days in office in failing to file a single case against Gloria Arroyo and prosecute her for the high crimes of plunder and electoral fraud as well as war crimes committed against the Filipino people during her nine-year rule,” said the CPP."

Sinasanggayunan ni journalist Herman Tiu-Laurel ang pananaw na puro moro-moro lang ang sinayaw ni Abs patungkol sa isyung huwag pabayaang matakasan ni Gloria ang mga ginawa niya sa bayan sa kapanahunan niya. Sabi niya:
As many sensible watchers of PeNoy and Justice chief Leila de Limas HDO drama have pointed out, the easy way to avoid the controversy is to just file one of the numerous complaints that already have ample evidence to ensure a prima facie case. The Hello Garci caper alone would have sufficed as the tapes and the witness testimonies are already there.
Many have also surmised that both PeNoy and De Lima (a former Gloria Arroyo appointee) dont really want to keep the supposedly ailing Pampanga solon in the country. So they had to set things in motion in such a way that the Supreme Court (SC) would have to decide on the issue to get them off the hook all, while enjoying the PR bonanza from appearing anti-Gloria.

Ngayon, kung talagang hindi na makakatakas si Arroyo sa mga kabalastugan nito ng 9 1/2 taong iligal na panunungkulan, may ipagdarasal ako. Hihilingin ko kay Bathala na ikanta sana ni Gloria lahat ng kasabwa't niya sa dayaan hindi lamang noong 2004 at 2007 na dayaan kundi pati sa 2001 Oplan Excelsis/EDSA 2 conspiracy at ang 2010 Hocus Pcos. Isipin na lang niya na mas maganda kung may kasama siya sa kulungan, hindi ba?

Balitang Tate? Salamat sa RT

Buti na lang at nandiyan ang media outfit na RT.com (dating Russia Today) dahil kung hindi ay mas matinding "zombiezation" ang nangyayari sana sa mga mamamayan ng mundo kabilang ang Kalbong Agila.
Bago.bago lang nagiging sikating ang RT sa mga taga Kanluran at mga mamamayan ng mga tutang bansa nito kagaya ng Pinas. Subali't batay sa isang survey ng Nielsen Research na ang RT na ang paboritong news source ng mga Amerikano sa Washington, D.C., maliban sa BBC.

Ang dahilan daw dito, ayon sa FAIR, isang media watchgdog group, ay dahil hindi pinagtutuunan ng mainstream U.S.-based news channels ang mga balita sa ibang bansa. Kitang-kita ang bias ng US mainstream media noong 2003 nang nag.rally ang kalahating milyong Amerikano laban sa Iraq War nguni't halos hindi ito ibinalita sa U.S.

 
Ang 2009 na pag-aaral ng Nielsen Research ukol sa American media patronage ay noong Enero 2010 pa pinalabas. Mas lalo na sigurado ngayon kung kailan pumutok na ang OWS o Occupy Wall Street Movement. Sabi nga ng isang OWS protester nitong linggo lang na ito:

Ang RT, financed by the Russian government (parang katulad ng BBC ng Britanya) ay itinatag noong 2005 ngunit noong 2008 lang nagumpisang targetin nito ang U.S. market. Ang channel ng RT ay nasa top ten most viewed sa kategorya news and politics sa kasaysayan ng YouTube. Mukhang ang isang nagpasikat sa RT ay ang coverage nito sa 9/11 at OWS at Libya invasion issues, na minamaliit ng mainstream U.S. corporate media.
