Let us remember the heroism today, 103 years ago, of Gen. Macario Sakay, the tough, determined, "organization genius" of a Filipino patriot who continued the Katipunan & the anti-colonial mission of Gat Andres Bonifacio.
Deceived by the wicked imperialist American Gov.-Gen. into laying down arms, he & Col. Lucio de Vega were hanged on Sept. 13, 1907, 8:30 am.
Below is the trailer from Raymond Red's Sakay film. Before he was hanged, Sakay managed to shout at the top of his lungs:
“I face the Lord Almighty calmly but we must tell you that we are not bandits and robbers as the Americans accuse us, but members of the revolutionary force that defended our country. Long live the Philippines! Adios Filipinas!”
